Cheeseboard Demo
Hi all, sorry for the delay in posting this but there is still time for Thanksgiving shopping. Below is my list of the vendors I used for the cheeseboard demo at Good Food Fest. The recipe for my grandmothers pie crust and the crust cookies are in a separate Post!
Cheeseboard
Cheese:
Burchrun Hill Farm, Crème Fresh, used for making dip with my Sweet Onion Blend. I would highly suggest purchasing their, Fat Cat Cheese, it is really good!
Farm At Doe Run, Humming Bird, Seven Sisters
Locust Hollow, Blue Ivy
Amazing Acres, Sea Smoke
Bread:
Green Lion Bakery, Rye Bread, fresh and torn but can be used sliced
Wild Flour Bakery,Baguette, fresh sliced, if I had time I would have also talked about using half of it to make crostini. Super easy recipe, just slice and toss them in olive oil, lay on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt (like one of my flavored salts… hint, hint), bake at 350° until browned on the edges.
Homemade Olive Oil Crackers were made using flour from Small Valley Milling. They are a local mill out of Halifax, PA with a variety of flours and grains available. You can order from them online or pick up their flour at Kimberton Whole Foods. Recipe for the crackers is in a separate post.
Veggies:
Both vendors can be found at a couple Growing Roots Farmers Markets , check the link for more information.
On The Side:
Fishtown Pickle Project, Pickles
Phoenixville Honey, Honey
Kastania, Olives / Olive Oil (used in cracker recipe, also can be used for above mentioned crostini)
